Compounding pharmacies provide medications that are individually formulated to meet the patient's specific health care needs. In every field of medicine, there are some patients who don't respond to traditional methods of treatment. Compounders have a unique skill and a special niche to fill. There is a great need for compounding and by working with the physicians we can prepare medications in one of several unique delivery systems that are not available from pharmaceutical companies. We can make a tremendous improvement in a patient's life.
Curtis Pharmacy uses state of the art equipment and continuous training to insure that our customers receive the best care possible. Our compounding staff has been recently trained to prepare several unique delivery systems, such as a lozenge, lollipop, sustained release capsule, gel, slow release suspension, topicals, rapid dissolve tablets, gummy bears, suppositories, animal treats, lip balm, effervescent packets, and many more dosage forms. With the skill to prepare these delivery systems and a physician's prescription, we can change the strength or how a drug is delivered by altering its form to make it easier for the patient to comply with their medication.
